What we know about you

Short version: we store what the game needs to run, your locked picks are public because that's the game, and we never advertise to you or sell anything.

What we store

Your account: email address, a password (stored hashed by our auth provider; we never see it) or your Google account link if you sign in that way, username, country, and when you joined.

Your play: every prediction, banker, bonus answer and vote, with timestamps. Anything you write: forum posts, guestbook entries, your bio. Friend connections and referral links between accounts.

That's it. No advertising IDs, no fingerprinting, no location beyond the country you chose yourself.

What's public by design

BankerBall is a transparent game. Your username, country, lifetime stats and every prediction on a locked or finished match are visible to anyone, on leaderboards, match pages and your profile. Picks on matches that haven't locked yet are never visible to anyone but you.

Forum posts and guestbook entries are public too. Your email is not public and never appears anywhere on the site.

What your email is used for

Account basics first: confirming your account and resetting your password. Beyond that we send game email, like a new matchday opening or your round recap. Every one of those has an unsubscribe link, and Settings has a switch per category plus one that turns the lot off. We don't sell or share your address, and nobody else can see it.

Cookies and analytics

Two things set cookies here. The session cookie that keeps you signed in, and Google Analytics, which counts page views so we can see what people actually use. Analytics runs with IP anonymization on and advertising signals off: aggregate numbers only, never your picks tied to your name, and nothing that follows you around other sites.

If you'd rather not be counted, any browser-level tracking blocker or a Do Not Track extension stops it, and the game works exactly the same.

Who else touches the data

The services that run the site: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting), Resend (sends our emails), Google if you chose Google sign-in, and Google Analytics if you allowed it. Match fixtures and results come from football-data.org; nothing about you is ever sent there.

None of them get your data for their own purposes. We don't sell, rent or share your data with anyone else.

Deleting your account

Email privacy@bankerball.com and we'll delete your account and personal data. Settled leaderboards keep their history, so your past rounds remain, credited to a deleted account without your name. You can also ask for a copy of everything we hold about you.

Changes

This is a beta. If how we handle data changes, this page changes first and we'll say so plainly on the site, not bury it.

Questions? About has who we are. The terms cover the rules of playing.
