How it works

The round

Every round is one BankerBall Matchday: a hand-picked set of matches from across Europe's big leagues, the way a classic football coupon worked. Mostly hard calls, the count varies, never a promised number. You predict the final score of every match, and if you dare, you play a banker on one of them. Each match locks 5 minutes before its kickoff, and until that moment you can change your score or move your banker as often as you like. Miss a match and it simply scores 0.

Base points

Each prediction is checked against five things, and they add up:

Correct outcome (win, draw, loss)20
Correct goal difference10
Exact home goals10
Exact away goals10
Exact score bonus10
Base maximum60

The K stamp

Before a round opens, every match gets stamped with a multiplier between 1.00 and 2.50. It prices difficulty: a derby between two in-form sides pays more than a title favourite hosting the bottom club. Your base points are multiplied by the stamp. It's printed on every match card and never changes after the round opens. How K is computed.

Rarity

Hitting the exact score earns a bonus of up to 40 points, scaled by how many other players picked the same scoreline. The pick distribution is frozen when the match locks. If 30% of the field is on 1:1 with you, the bonus is 28. If you're alone on 3:2, it's the full 40. Brave calls pay. The full rarity story.

Special matches

Every round, one match is the Match of the round, usually the round's biggest stamp, and on it every player is under banker rules whether they like it or not: call it (right outcome plus at least one exact goal count) and it doubles; miss it and it pays 0. No opt-out, no budget spent, the whole field sweats together. It's marked on the fixture list before the round opens, and your own banker can't sit on it.

The banker

The game is named after it. Your banker is hit-or-miss: hit means you called the outcome and at least one team's exact goal count, and the whole match total doubles. Miss means the match pays 0, wiping even the points you would have kept. You get 10 bankers per calendar month, at most one per round, and unused ones don't carry over. The banker can't sit on a special match. The full banker rules.

Extras

Under each round's fixtures you'll find a few bonus questions: over or under 2.5 goals, both teams to score, total goals in the round, the highest-scoring match. Flat points, no multipliers, answered with one tap and locked when the round's first match kicks off. The total-goals question earns its keep twice: it also settles ties on the round table.

The Vault

One rolling jackpot for the whole game. It grows every round nobody cracks it, in every league, fed by a cut of every banker that dies. It cracks when a player stands alone on the exact score of a result almost nobody called, and the cracker takes the entire pot into their standings. Then it resets to 300 and starts climbing again. The Vault, in full.

Postponements and ties

Postponed, cancelled or voided matches score 0 for everyone and drop out of the round's maximum. Tied on points, the table looks at: more exact scores, then more correct outcomes, then the highest single-match total, then the round's tiebreaker question, and finally the earlier registered account. Signing up early pays.

Points beyond predictions

Now and then you can earn points outside the matches: referring a friend who plays, or limited-time actions like starting a mini-league during a promo window. Every bonus is announced up front, shows up in your point history, and counts into your season standings. The details live in the rules.

Five predictions, scored

Every number below comes from the real scoring engine, not marketing maths.

The rare exact

+130.6

Picked 2:1, finished 2:1, K 1.55, 6% picked the same score

Outcome 20 · Diff 10 · Home goals 10 · Away goals 10 · Exact 10 · ×1.55 · Rarity +37.6

Full base of 60, times the stamp, plus a big rarity bonus because only 6% of players saw it coming.

The popular exact

+99.6

Picked 1:1, finished 1:1, K 1.20, 31% picked the same score

Outcome 20 · Diff 10 · Home goals 10 · Away goals 10 · Exact 10 · ×1.20 · Rarity +27.6

Same perfect call, smaller reward: a third of the field picked 1:1 too, so the rarity bonus shrinks.

Right idea, wrong details

+28.0

Picked 3:1, finished 1:0, K 1.40

Outcome 20 · ×1.40

Home win called, nothing else right. Outcome points times the stamp, no bonuses.

The banker lands

+336.0

Picked 1:0, finished 1:0, K 2.20, 10% picked the same score, banker

Outcome 20 · Diff 10 · Home goals 10 · Away goals 10 · Exact 10 · ×2.20 · Rarity +36.0 · Banker hit ×2

An exact score on a K 2.20 match, doubled by the banker. This is how rounds are won.

The banker misses

0

Picked 2:1, finished 1:0, K 1.80, banker

Outcome 20 · Diff 10 · ×1.80 · Banker missed, 0

Right winner, wrong on both goal counts. Without the banker this keeps 36 points; the banker wipes it to zero. That's the risk you signed up for.

Match of the round, hit

+316.0

Picked 1:1, finished 1:1, K 2.10, 20% picked the same score, match of the round

Outcome 20 · Diff 10 · Home goals 10 · Away goals 10 · Exact 10 · ×2.10 · Rarity +32.0 · Match of the round hit ×2

An exact score on the Match of the round: the whole field is under banker rules there, and this call doubles.

Match of the round, missed

0

Picked 2:1, finished 3:2, K 1.50, match of the round

Outcome 20 · Diff 10 · ×1.50 · Match of the round missed, 0

Right winner, but no exact goal count: on the Match of the round that is a miss, and the match pays 0 despite the partial points.

Quick answers

How do points work on BankerBall?

Each match pays base points for the correct outcome (20), correct goal difference (10), exact home goals (10), exact away goals (10) and an exact score bonus (10), up to 60. The base is multiplied by the match's K coefficient (1.00 to 2.50), and a correct exact score adds a rarity bonus of up to 40 points depending on how few players picked it.

When do predictions lock?

Each match locks 5 minutes before its kickoff, enforced on the server in UTC. Until then you can change any prediction freely.

What is the banker?

The banker is a hit-or-miss double on one match per round. A hit (correct outcome plus at least one team's exact goal count) doubles the match total; a miss scores 0. You get 10 bankers per calendar month across all leagues, and unused ones don't roll over.

What is the Vault?

A rolling jackpot of points shared across every league. It seeds at 300, grows every round it survives, and is won by a player who alone called the exact score of a result fewer than 15 percent of the field saw coming, on a match with at least 20 predictors. The winner takes the whole pot and it resets to 300.

Are other players' predictions visible?

Yes, once a match locks. Locked picks and lifetime history are public on every player's profile. Unlocked picks stay private.

How are ties broken on the leaderboards?

By more exact scores, then more correct outcomes, then the highest single-match total, then the round's tiebreaker question, and finally the earlier registered account.

The strict version of everything lives on the rules page.
